Kristen and I later moved to St Thomas in the Caribbean where we ran a small dive operation for 3 years until we decided to swap out the flip-flops for a pair of XtraTuffs and move to Alaska.
It made perfect sense to move to a place that had some of the best hunting and fishing in the world. It didn't take us long to fall in love with the town and its way of life.
Keeping true to our tract record of working somewhere pretty amazing, the wife and I went to work for Alaskan Coastal Freight aboard the Helenka B.
After attempting to grow up a little by working on a 27m tug boat for 4 years and then doing 7 years in 4 different coal mines up and down the East coast, I met the love of my life ( other than fishing) while Scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsundays.
From an early age I have always been an outdoors sort of guy. I would sleep down by the river or out in my little skiff in the hopes of catching the next big fish. (Pictured is an 85cm salt water Barramundi.)
Traveling to some of the most breath takingly beautiful pockets go Alaska and spending weeks at sea had Churchie (Kristen) and I right at home.
It wasn't until we started looking for our own little piece of Alaska that I realized that I wanted to help others discover Homer and to assist them in finding the perfect property here. From a dry cabin to a remote wildness lodge, the search to find that one property has me as excited to find it as my clients.
